An electrochemical,signalamplifiedimmunosensorwasdevelopedtodetect3-bromobiphenyl(BBP)
by usingabio-inspiredpolydopamine(PDOP)/goldnanocluster(AuNc)asthesensorplatformand
multienzyme-labeledcarbonhollownanochainsasthesignalamplifier.Theself-polymerizeddopa-
mine membraneontheAuNc-modifiedindiumtinoxide(ITO)electrodewerecharacterizedby
scanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM),atomicforcemicroscopy(AFM),contactangleandelectrochemi-
cal measurements.SuchPDOP/AuNcplatformfeaturedthemildcross-linkingreactionwiththedense
immobilizationofBBP-antigens(BBP-Ag).Moreover,byusingmultiplehorseradishperoxidase(HRP)
and secondaryantibodies(Ab2) modifiedone-dimensionalcarbonhollownanochains(CHNc)asthe
signalenhancer,itheldpromiseforimprovingthesensitivityanddetectionlimitoftheimmunoassay.
Based onthecompetitiveimmunoassayprotocol,thisimmunosensorshowedalinearrangefrom1pM
to 2nMforBBPwithadetectionlimitof0.5pM.Also,itexhibitedhighsensitivity,widelinearrange,
acceptablestabilityandreproducibilityonapromisingimmobilizationplatformusinganovelsignal
amplifier,whichmayextenditsapplicationinotherenvironmentalmonitoring.
